Apple Pie Oatmeal

 Lately I've been loving my oats and turning them into oatmeal "pies!" This time I created an apple pie oatmeal. I put a bunch of little apple slices around my bowl to give it more of a pie look. This oatmeal is sweet, flavorful, perfect for fall, comforting for this rainy day, and filled with protein. It comes all together to this delicious apple pie oatmeal!




Apple Pie Oatmeal
Servings: 1

Ingredients:
1/2 cup quick rolled oats
1/3 cup + 1 cup water or dairy-free milk 
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 Tbs.  vega team vanilla protein powder
1 apple, sliced in half into chunks
1 Tbs. silvered almonds
Sprinkle of cinnamon 

Directions: 
1. In a microwave safe bowl combine oats, 1/3 cup water, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, protein powder, and 1/2 an apple sliced into chunks. Microwave for 30 sec.

2. Put in an additional 1 cup of water and microwave for 1 min.

3. Top the oatmeal with the other half of the apple sliced into chunks into a circle. Top with almonds and cinnamon.
