Easy Knit Coaster

As summer comes to close when I'm not gardening I like to knit and make crafts in fall and winter. One of my favorite kitchen knit item is my easy homemade coaster. It can be hard to remove cup rings off of kitchen tables and coffee tables. That's why I love coasters! When I have some herb tea I love to use this coaster! What are some your favorite kitchen knit or crochet items?

Easy knit Coaster

You Will Need:

Size 8 knitting needles

Sugar n cream yarn (any color)

Tapestry needle

A pair of scissors 

Coaster Patter FYI

sts = stitches 

K2 = knit two

Coaster Pattern:

1. Cast on 18 sts. 

2. Knit 2 rows.

3. Row 1: K2, purl across, K2 to end. 

4. Row 2: Knit across 

5. Knit row 1 and row 2, thirteen times. Ending with row 2. 

6. Bind off sts.

7. Cut yarn, thread "tails" on tapestry needle, bring needle through 5 stitches on needle and pull.
